The City of Madera held a town hall meeting at the Madera South High School cafeteria for residents to listen to the annual police report given by Chef of Police, Gino Chiaramonte.
Residents gathered in groups of six or seven at tables, enjoying light snacks while Chief Chiaramonte gave an overview of the Madera Police Department, describing the various divisions, their accomplishments, and receiving feedback from the community.
He also gave a brief overview of what his top priorities are within the community, which include gangs and traffic, an idea of the workload the police department is faced with, and gave a snapshot how crime has generally gone down in the city.
