When Johnny Aviles was growing up, he always had a passion to cook. He would cook for his family, then he would cook during a summer get together. All of this led to opening a new restaurant, Smash Bros. Bistro in Fresno (on the corner of First and Bullard).

“Never in a million years in high school did I think I would own my own restaurant, but I always wanted to be a chef,” he said.

Aviles graduated from Liberty High School in 2012 and moved to Los Angeles to get a job while going to culinary school.
