Madera County held its annual Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony in front of the downtown Madera County Courthouse Museum, honoring the lives of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while protecting those in the community.

Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue welcomed members of law enforcement and community members who arrived to pay their respects and honor the fallen officers within the county over the years during Tuesday’s ceremony.

Eighteen years going, the ceremony takes place annually in front of the old courthouse where a memorial recognizes the lives of eight officers from the Madera Police Department, California Highway Patrol Madera, and Madera County Sheriff’s Office.
