The Triumph Volleyball Academy sent three teams to the 2026 Boys Junior Volleyball National Championship last week in Phoenix, Arizona.
All three teams earned a podium finish, which also earned TVA, a Madera and Fresno-based volleyball club team, the prestigious Power Belt, which is awarded to the club who had the most teams to place on the podium.
TVA Top Tier- Mint 15
The 15-under team placed second in the 15 USA Division to earn a silver medal. Featured on the team are libero Caleb McDonald from Madera and setter Josh Perez from Liberty.
TVA Top Tier- Mint 16
The 16-under team won the 16 Club Championship, and was coached by Madera Coyote boys volleyball assistant and Fresno City College assistant, Nate Perez. On the team were a number of Madera-area players, including seven Coyotes.
George Kirk represented Matilda Torres as an outside hitter. Playing from Madera were Lennox Rodriguez (setter), Paul Villarreal (middle blocker), Abel Perez (middle blocker) and Aiden Alvarez (pin hitter). Madera’s Aiden Gates (setter) and Gabriel Campa (libero) were named to the All-BJNC team, and pin hitter Sean Ruiz was the 16s Division Most Valuable Player.
TVA Top Tier- Mint 17
The TVA team placed third in the 17 USA Division to earn a bronze medal. Two Toros played for the team — Judah Morales (setter) and Braedon Bispham (middle blocker).
