The Matilda Torres Toros girls volleyball team finally got that elusive win over the Madera Coyotes on Tuesday, in a three-set victory at Torres.

The Toros used the momentum of a come-from-behind 27-25 win in the first set for a 25-20 win in the second and a 25-15 win in the third set to record the program’s first-ever victory over the Coyotes.

The Toros amassed 26 kills in the three sets, and it was spread out between seven different hitters. Sarah Guillen, Lexi Heredia and Layla Webster each had five kills.
