The day of the apron

The very first thing I made in my high school sewing class was an apron. The class was Home Economics, where we also learned to cook.

I still have that apron I made in the ninth grade. It is made of a gold-colored gingham, and I embroidered a cooked turkey on the front.

Aprons are useful when cooking or doing work on hobbies, and they protect your clothes from getting dirty or damaged. They aren’t used only in the kitchen, but when I think of an apron, I think of the kind used in the kitchen while cooking.
