Stallions battle tough in home opener

Madera South’s Danae Prudente rises up to put away one of her team-leading 10 kills in Thursday’s loss to Bullard.

In the 2023 home opener, new Madera South girls volleyball head coach Madie Devine didn’t have it easy by having to face former County/Metro Athletic Conference foe Bullard-Fresno.

The Stallions worked through their mistakes and kept the match close in a 3-0 sweep Thursday at Madera South.

Devine is taking over for Travis McEowen this season and has a new coaching staff with her.
