For the 39th year, Madera Sunrise Rotary’s annual Trees for Charity will help local charities raise additional funds for their organizations by auctioning a decorated tree. One hundred percent of the sale of the trees will go to the nonprofit organizations. The event is on December 7.
Madera’s Soroptimist International will participate this year in the event. The proceeds from the sale of their tree will directly fund their local projects, which are designed to empower women and girls through education.
Soroptimist International of Madera celebrated its 80th anniversary this year, chartered in May 1944, and is a part of an international women’s organization that serves the world by helping women and girls achieve their dreams.
