Many people gather for parties on New Year’s Eve. The fact that I have only been to two NYE parties ought to show that I am not exactly a party animal. And those two parties were decades apart.
I did have a couple of friends over now and then, and we played board games until the countdown to midnight. Maybe I should stop sharing this information, lest others think I am trying out for the “Most Boring Person of the Year” award.
Life has become too hectic for many of us, with obligations, appointments and other things taking us away from our preferred activities. For me, those activities would be fishing, metal detecting and rock hounding, for the outdoors. Indoors, I enjoy crocheting, painting, beadwork, reading, writing and of course, cooking (also done outdoors, on occasion).
