By signing a National Letter of Intent to Keystone College in Pennsylvania, Matilda Torres Toros track athlete Ricardo Silva-Cardozo became the first athlete in school history to sign to a four-year school.

“It felt great,” he said. “I started something at Torres. During that day of my signing, I had sophomores reach out to me and said I was an inspiration. I want to be an inspiration for the younger kids because they will take it further. There’s a lot of talent at Torres and I’m sure someone will sign next year.”

Silva had choices between Concordia University and Ohio Dominican before choosing Keystone College.
