Sherman Thomas STEM Academy 1st place team. The 2024 Madera County Academic Pentathlon culminated with the Super Quiz and Awards Ceremony on March 9 by naming Sherman Thomas STEM Academy this year’s champion team.

Nearly 140 students participated in this five-event academic competition held on February 14 and March 9. Students competed in the areas of essay, fine arts, literature, science, and social science. This year’s topic was “Technology and Humanity.”

Ranchos Middle School came in second place and Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School placed third.
