Serious injuries in collision

Madera Police officers were called to the corner of Pine Street and Pecan Avenue early Monday morning for a two-vehicle accident.

A 24-year-old male failed to stop at the four-way stop sign at about 5:30 a.m. Monday. The male was driving a Honda sedan west on Pecan at a high rate of speed.

A garbage truck was in the intersection after coming to a complete stop, and then driving north on Pine. The Honda collided with the garbage truck at the intersection.
