The City of Madera has activated the new traffic signals at the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and San Pietro Drive.

The signals are currently operating in flash mode while crews complete final testing, inspections, and system integration.

The traffic signals are expected to be fully operational within the next two to three weeks. During this interim period, motorists are reminded to use extra caution when approaching the intersection, obey all traffic control devices, and remain alert for pedestrians, bicyclists, and other vehicles.

The installation of the new traffic signal is part of the City of Madera’s ongoing efforts to improve transportation infrastructure and enhance safety for everyone who travels through the area.

“This project is another step toward making our transportation network safer and more efficient,” said City Engineer Keith Helmuth. “We’re excited to see the signal nearing completion and appreciate the community’s patience as we wrap up the final phase of work.”

The City of Madera thanks the public for its patience during construction and encourages everyone to drive attentively through the intersection until the signals become fully operational.
