Missing adult found

Dau “Christopher” Pham.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Department issued a missing adult bulletin over the weekend for 29-year-old Dau “Christopher” Pham, who was last seen in the Oakhurst area, possibly headed towards Yosemite, Angel Falls, Bass Lake or Sierra National Forest trails last week.

However, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement Wednesday that Pham had been located deceased in the Oakhurst area. No foul play is suspected.

Over the course of this investigation, Madera County Sheriff’s deputies, detectives, Search and Rescue personnel, and dedicated volunteers spent countless hours following leads, conducting searches, and working tirelessly in an effort to locate Pham.

“While this is not the outcome anyone had hoped for, we are grateful for the unwavering commitment of everyone involved in the search,” said the MCSO in a statement. “On behalf of Sheriff Tyson Pogue and the men and women of the Madera County Sheriff’s Office, we want to thank our community who shared information, provided tips, and supported the search efforts.”

Out of respect for Pham’s family and their privacy, no further details will be released at this time.
