Madera Sheriff hosts Law Enforcement Memorial

The Madera County Sheriff Honor Guard presents the colors at the ceremony.

Madera County Sheriff Tyson Pogue hosted the 16th annual Madera County Law Enforcement Memorial Ceremony earlier this week to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

At Tuesday’s ceremony, Pogue honored 15 California officers who lost their lives in the line of duty last year.

Madera South High School student Sarai Meras sang the national anthem, and numerous representatives honored the fallen.
