Since coming to the Madera community in 1981, Jim Taubert has worked to improve the city he grew to love.

Taubert was hired by the Madera Chamber of Commerce in 1981, and thought he would be in the city only for a few years. However, he established roots in this city that will never be forgotten.

“Madera got in my blood,” Taubert said in a 2016 interview. “We started raising a family. I’ve had opportunities to go to other places, but I wanted to stay here.”
