Jolly Trolly shows holiday spirit

The Madera Metro Jolly Trolly Light Tours Event is back.

On Dec. 21 and 22, the Madera Metro Jolly Trolley will take Madera residents around the best holiday displays in Madera.

The Jolly Trolley will be making three pick-up locations and boarding begins at 5:15 and will depart at 6 p.m. The trolley will return to locations at 8 p.m.

Pick-up locations will be at Yosemite Manor Madera Housing (108 S. P Street), Walgreens (2020 W. Cleveland Ave.) and the Intermodel Center (123 N. E Street)

Cost is free for seniors 60 and over, disabled and veterans. The cost of others will be $1 and pay upon boarding.

Members of the Madera community were invited to submit photos of their decorations with their address to be included in the route.

Also, for safety, Madera Metro will give the option for participants to be dropped off at an area closer to their residence.

Boarding for the Madera Metro is first come, first served.

“We will be using more busses than in the past,” David Huff said. “We want to make sure more people are able to see the decorations.”
