New imaging equipment has been added to Madera Community Hospital’s Outpatient Center.

This includes installation of new medical imaging technology and renovation of the x-ray room, both of which were completed in late December.

“The new diagnostic imaging equipment streamlines and advances the capabilities of our outpatient medical imaging services,” said Karen Paolinelli, FNP, the hospital’s interim chief executive officer.

“The x-ray equipment improves quality and efficiency for both patients and referring providers.”

The state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment drastically reduces image transfer time while significantly improving the image quality. Along with the radiologist’s findings and report, the enhanced images serve as tools for patient communication and an optimal treatment plan.

The Outpatient Center (OPC) also includes a blood draw station, two ultrasound rooms and mammography. Additional project plans for OPC include enlarging and remodeling the patient registration and waiting area and enhancing breast diagnostic services.
