Madera anticipates the kick-off of the Christmas holiday season every year with the Madera Sunrise Rotary’s Trees for Charity. The 39th annual event will be on December 7, and there will be 13 trees on display, available for sale by auction to the highest bidder.

Holy Family Table is an organization owned by St. Joachim Church that is well-known for the good things it does in the community of Madera, and it’s one of the 13 organizations that will have a tree up for bid at the auction.

Holy Family Table is a soup kitchen located at Griffin Hall on the corner of C and 5th Streets. It has been in existence for over 25 years, and it began with a small group serving sandwiches outside Courthouse Park.
