A gun was brandished in the neighborhood around Madera High School Friday afternoon. Although reports of shots fired were reported, there was no evidence or statements to confirm that, according to the Madera Police Department.
A fight occurred near the ally way east of MHS. Nobody shot a gun during the fight, but a hand gun was present, and brandished at the victim. All parties were contacted, and two adults were arrested — Osbaldo Espinosa for battery, and Marco Ahumada for brandishing and assault with a deadly weapon.
While the search for the suspect and handgun were ongoing, the high school was put into lockdown as a precaution.
