So many times during hot weather, I want to avoid making a big fuss over dinner preparation. I want a meal, but don’t want to spend all day in the kitchen, and hopefully, avoid having to go to the store to get ingredients.
I spend a lot of time, however, standing in front of cabinets and shelves figuring out what I can make with what I’ve got. I think most of us do that from time to time.
Grilled cheese sandwiches are a favorite in my household, and they needn’t be fussed over. They cook up quickly, and you don’t need the oven. Fire up the skillet, toast the sandwiches, push the skillet away and enjoy your meal. Not much to clean up, either. Good with or without a soup or salad.
