To kick off Financial Literacy Month, the California Kids Investment and Development Savings Program (CalKIDS) and Golden 1 Credit Union are partnering for a free, family educational Community Day event on Saturday from 4-7 p.m.
Students and families are invited to attend celebrations at four Golden 1 Credit Union branches in Madera, Sacramento, Oakland, and Fresno to check their eligibility and claim up to $1,500 in CalKIDS Scholarships to jumpstart their path to higher education.
The Madera event will take place at the Golden 1 Credit Union, Madera Branch, located at 1934 Howard Road, from 4-7 p.m. Families can enjoy a festive afternoon of activities including face painting, balloon twisting, and refreshments.
