The Madera Tribune has lost another cherished member of our family. Tami Jo Nix passed away early Monday morning.
She has been an icon of the Tribune since she began working as an advertising rep in June of 1995. Later, she became a staff writer, and eventually a celebrated columnist.
Next month we would have celebrated her 30th anniversary with the paper. Her “Gravy by the Slice” was a column that many in Madera loved. She was different. She was Tami Jo.
