CHP Madera Officers responded to a solo vehicle traffic crash on Road 27, north of Avenue 17 on Tuesday at about 2 p.m.

A 47-year-old woman from Madera was driving a black Ford Explorer, northbound on Road 27, at an unknown speed. Due to her level of alcohol intoxication, she veered to the right and crashed with the guardrail on the east shoulder.

Fortunately, there were no other vehicles involved, and the driver was not injured. The driver was placed under arrest for DUI.
