Farm workers discovered an unresponsive male in the Chowchilla area of Avenue 24 and Road 19 and was later determined deceased.
California Highway Patrol, Madera County Sheriff’s Office and Emergency Medical Services responded to the location on Monday. The male has been identified as Terry Wayne Artley of Chowchilla.
Early Saturday morning, a solo vehicle crash in the same area was reported to the CHP shortly before 1 a.m. The CHP is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident to see if there is a connection.
