CRC receives $10M grant

The Madera County Board of Supervisors approved use of a $10 million grant for the development and implementation of the Madera County Community Resiliency Center (CRC) in an agreement entered with the Strategic Growth Council.

In conjunction, a partnership agreement was entered into with the Madera County Departments of Public Health, Behavior Health Services, Sheriff’s Office & Office of Emergency Services, Social Services, CALFIRE Madera, as well as community partners which include Live Well Madera County, Vision y Compromiso, Madera Coalition for Community Justice, Binational of California, Pequenos Empresarios, and Centro Unidad Popular Benito Juarez for the Planning and implementation of the scope of work for the Community Resilience Center fort fiscal years 2024-2029.

A project that has been in the works for several years, the Madera County Department of Public Health along with its partners was selected by the Strategic Growth Council in the implementation and construction of a community resilience center.
