With the County/Metro Athletic Conference season right around the corner, the Madera Coyotes girls volleyball team is still suffering through growing pains as evident in a three-set loss to the Reedley Pirates in Joe Flores Gym.

The Coyotes were outscored 50-22 in the first two sets Tuesday before battling back in a 25-19 loss in the third set.

The Coyotes are still figuring things out with just two returning players that saw significant playing time last season.
