County employees (Madera County Employees, Giving Tree) have been helping special needs children at the Norman Gould School and Early Start for more than 50 years. It began with bake sales, then moved on to yard sales and vendors at the Courthouse Park for many years. The organizations now have raffles and bake sales at the Madera County Government Center to raise funds, but have not been able to have them since the pandemic.

A big fundraiser this past week was similar to the old days at Courthouse Park. They hosted a Spring Fling event at Madera United Methodist Church. Many supported the event, which was deeply appreciated.

Thank you to all who participated to make this event a success.
