The annual proposed budget was submitted for approval to the Madera City Council last week during its regularly scheduled meeting.
Madera Director of Financial Services, Mike Lima, introduced the proposed budget for the 2024/25 fiscal year in a PowerPoint presentation in which Lima reviewed key additions for this year.
The city anticipates its largest ever available budget for a total of $216.1 million, overall. This is $19.7 million or 10.1 percent higher than last year’s. This is stemming from an increase of $16.1 million in capital appropriates.
