The Madera City Council unanimously appointed Rohi Zacharia to fill the District 1 vacancy made by elected Mayor Cece Gallegos.
Although, it wasn’t without a spoiler alert last week.
After leaving a vacancy for her district when Gallegos took the position of mayor, Rohi Zacharia and Tim Riché were nominated by Mayor Gallegos and Mayor Pro Tem Jose Rodriguez.
