The Madera City Council honored women who made a difference for its fourth annual Women of the Year.
The Women of the Year, started by current Mayor Cece Gallegos, honors women in Madera who have made a significant contribution to the community.
Each of the City Council members and Gallegos honored a woman in their district, and also recognized a woman in the City of Madera staff.
