The Madera County Sheriff’s office received a call from an area hospital regarding a patient under their care who sustained injuries inconsistent with the reported event.
The call came in shortly after 5 p.m. on December 14.
MCSO deputies started an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the patient’s incident. After the investigation, deputies said that the victim, 44-year-old Mandy Burriel, was transported from the 16000 block of Krohn Sreet for a reported fall. The victim’s boyfriend, 52-year-old Scott Allen, was the reporting party.
