3-pointers lead Toros to victory

Madera Toros player makes a crucial three-pointer to lead the team to victory in a competitive game.

The Matilda Torres Toros hit 12 3-pointers to record a 57-42 victory over the Sanger West Hornets in a North Yosemite League game last week.

Alijah Jamison hit five 3-pointers and led the Toros with 19 points to lead the long-range barrage. Steven Jamison hit three and David Casas, Enzo Cosentino and Jayden Corona each hit 3-pointers Friday night.

Amani Sua added 13 points with a team-leading seven rebounds. However, it was the 3-point shot that separated the Toros from the Hornets. Torres hit 12 while Sanger West hit just two.
