During day shift October 7, Officer Gaige Bonderer found 28-year-old Emilio Cuadros near the area of Half Dome and Monterey Street.
Cuadros was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol with a loaded firearm sitting right next to him. His BAC was more than twice the legal limit.
During the night shift, Officer Jesse Quintana stopped 43-year-old Sergio Beltran near Yosemite Avenue and Tozer Street.
Beltran had five misdemeanor warrants, narcotics, and a firearm was found in his possession.
Neither handgun was found to be registered. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail.
