Madera police discovered a woman with bullet wounds after responding to a 911 call in the 700 block of Granada at about 4 a.m. Monday.
The 911 call described a shooting into an uninhabited dwelling
As the call was being handled, it also was learned that an adult woman inside the residence had been injured. Madera Police Department officers arrived on scene and saw the woman with several bullet wounds to her body inside the residence.
Emergency medical service personnel arrived and took the wounded woman to a local hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.
According to Sgt. Mark W. Trukki, the investigation remained underway.
