What is labor day, why have it?

Veterans’ Voices is directed toward veterans and their families who have given so much to ensure our freedom in this country. This is an area where you may share your experiences, or read of other veterans’ experiences. We thank you for your service, and hope that you know how much you are loved and appreciated.

It means that the summer sun is still on the horizon.

You will smell the BBQs going and the hot sun blazing. Labor Day weekend means the summer ending is getting close here in the United States. It is a time to relax and enjoy family and friends and take advantage of sales going on at the local retail stores.

Labor Day, which falls on the first Monday in September, was initially established to honor the contributions and achievements of American workers and their labor unions. However, I was just thinking how there is a connection between Labor Day and the military.
