County Clerk-Recorder & Registrar of Voters, Rebecca Martinez, announced that all registered voters in the County of Madera will be sent their Official Ballots for the upcoming June 7, Consolidated Statewide Direct Primary Election in the mail.
Ballots will be mailed to voters beginning May 9. Allow 2-5 days for delivery.
Ballot tracking is now available and it’s free. Ballot tracking is a service that will send notices about the ballot, including when it’s mailed, received, and counted. Know where the ballot is every step of the way. Go to www.wheresmyballot.sos.ca.gov to sign up.
Voters will no longer have to place a stamp on the ballot envelope to return your ballot through the US Mail. Voted ballots may also be returned at any Official County Ballot Drop Box or at any Vote Center in Madera County. It is highly recommended that voters do not hand over your ballot to a stranger. If voters decide not to mail or drop off your ballot personally, only give the ballot to someone they trust.
The back pages of the County Voter Information Guide show the Ballot Drop Box and Vote Center locations, dates, and hours of operation. The county’s Mobile Vote Center will also be out to serve voters in multiple locations before Election Day. See the insert with the ballot for more information.
For this election, voted ballots returned by mail must be postmarked on or before Election Day, be received within seven days after the Election to be considered timely and the blue envelope must be signed.
