Tribune reaches out to Kansas newspaper

The Marion County Record in Marion, Kansas, was raided last week by the Marion Police Department, which seized computers, cell phones, and other materials.

The police also raided the home of the owner and publisher Friday. This raid has made national news, and has gone viral over the weekend, with differing opinions about the appropriateness of the raid.

The Madera Tribune reached out to the Marion County Record, to give support and encouragement. Both the Tribune and the Record are local community newspapers that have been publishing since the 1800s.
