Supervisors receive sub-basin updates

During regularly scheduled meeting, the Madera County Board of Supervisors received an update on revisions made to the 2024 Chowchilla Sub-basin Groundwater Sustainability Plan.

During the September 3 meeting, Supervisors also endorsed the Madera Community College Agave Distillery Program, and recognized September 10 as World Suicide Prevention Day, and the month of September as National Suicide Prevention Month, as well as Recovery Month.

Director of Water and Natural resources for Madera County, Stephanie Anagnoson, made an educational presentation with an update to the 2024 Chowchilla sub basin Groundwater Sustainability Plan to the Board of Supervisors before they take action to adopt the revised GSP.
