Sunrise Rotary looking for shrimp eaters

Community members gather at Sunrise Rotary shrimp eaters event, enjoying seafood and socializing.

The Madera Sunrise Rotary Club is trying to fill the seats at Hatfield Hall for its annual Shrimp Feed.

The feed, which usually gets 400-450 guests, still has about 100 tickets available for Saturday’s event, which begins at 5:30 p.m. at the Madera District Fair’s Hatfield Hall.

“A lot of people who used to make the rounds have either moved away or retired, so the connections aren’t there as usual,” said coordinator John Russell.
