Three middle school students were honored for the month of March by Madera Sunrise Rotary. These students were recognized for following the Rotarian motto of “Service Above Self,” and the emphasis was on Citizenship.

Each month teachers select a Student of the Month at all Madera Unified middle schools. The counselors and administrators then chose the ones to be honored as the Rotary Service Above Self recipients, displaying character traits of respect and responsibility. The following deserving students were: Cindy Hernandez Jeronimo, Desmond Middle School, Noah Perez, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, and Perla Gaspar-Franco of Martin Luther King Middle School

Congratulations to the students selected and for the teachers and families who support them.
