Summer is apricot time

This time of year, in days gone by, I could be found in early mornings, sitting with family and hired help, while an old Cletrac crawler and trailer hauled us up and over the hill to the orchard.

It was time to pick apricots.

Then, in the afternoons, we were under the cutting shed roof, lining wooden trays with those delicious apricot halves. When they were dried (in the sun), it was time to sort them.
