Enjoyed the article on the Sugar Pine Rail ride by Chase McGovern.

Have taken it, and other train rides, many times.

Yes, the nature aspect of it is great information, and much needed. I would like to see more articles by students on how the Sierras were harvested in lumber, ore, water and especially electricity. I would welcome a person like Chase to explore the Big Creek Hydro project.

How the Dams and tunnels were built. Railroads built just for this purpose, and now gone.

Today’s electricity was conceived in the early 1900s, by using re-usable water. Could be a great class project.
