Poet to offer free workshop

Poet Tim Z. Hernandez will conduct a free poetry-writing session March 24 at the Madera County Library, 121 N. G St., beginning at 3 p.m.

Hernandez is an award-winning author, poet and performance artist.

He is from the Central Valley, and currently teaches creative writing in the bilingual master of fine arts program at the University of Texas at El Paso. He has focused on the arts in rural, underserved communities.

This workshop is sponsored by the California Center for the Book, and by Poets and Writers, Inc.

How do I Submit a Photo?

Capture the moments that matter! Whether it's a school event, a local celebration, or a sports victory, your photos can help tell the story of our community. We invite you to share your images with us, but remember, if they include identifiable individuals, a signed photo release is required.
