Plant Give and Take planned

The seventh annual Plant Give and Take, will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at Lions Town and Country Park, Pavilion Area, 2300 Howard Road.

This event is sponsored by Community Volunteers Central Valley, a 501(c) 3 non-profit.

This event is free to the public. All types of plants, seeds, bulbs, and cuttings for home gardens will be exchanged.

The spirit of the event is to give what you have and take plants — free, according to Cal Crane, coordinator of the event.

No experience necessary, whether you are starting your first garden or adding to one, this event is for ALL green thumbs. These plants will help us beautify Madera and surrounding areas plus clean our air.

“Local gardening experts will be on hand to answer all your gardening questions,” said Crane.
