California Highway Patrol Madera officers responded to a solo-vehicle crash on Avenue 12, west of Road 30 at about 12:30 p.m. on August 29.
A 39-year-old woman from Chowchilla was driving a white 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, westbound on Avenue 12, west of Road 30. For reasons still under investigation, she allowed her vehicle to veer off the roadway and onto the right shoulder.
The front of the Chevrolet collided into a ditch, overturned, and struck two almond trees.
