Sheila K. Nesmith, 81, a longtime resident of Carson City, NV, went home to be with the Lord on July 26, 2023, after a brief battle with cancer. She was born on June 6, 1942, in Antioch, CA, to Marion and Frances Sands, and was raised in Madera, CA, where she attended elementary and high school and met the love of her life, Charles. Sheila and Charles were married in 1959 and had three children. They lived in California where they raised their children before moving to northern Nevada in 1978.
Sheila was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Schreiber (Charlie); son, Steven Nesmith; sister-in-law, Annette Morelock; son-in-law, Rick Hallam; grandchildren, Trevor Hallam (Amanda), Corrie Hallam, Chayse Nesmith, Amber Nesmith; two great-grandchildren and numerous dear friends and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ronald Sands; daughter, Terri Hallam and her beloved husband, Charles, who passed away in 2021. Sheila leaves a legacy of faith, hope and love. Her beautiful soul has gone home too soon and she will never be forgotten.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 9, 2023, at 1:30 p.m., at Calvary Chapel, 1635 E. Clearview Drive in Carson City, NV.
