More than 2,000 high school students from across the state competed at the annual California State FFA Finals competition at Cal Poly.
The Madera FFA Meats Evaluation team emerged victorious during the May 5 competition and are now California State Champions.
Anita Giron was the highest scoring individual. Oswaldo Montes placed third in highest scoring individual and Caleb Fant placed fifth. Also on the team is Matthew Machado.
