For the third year in a row, Liberty High School will send a graduate to a U.S. Military Academy, except for the first time the graduate was also recruited to play a sport.
Max Nulick follows in the footsteps of Skylar Hartley and Quaid Copher, who both went to the Naval Academy, to head to a military academy. He will attend the U.S. Merchant Marines Academy and play football.
“I got a tweet from their California recruiter,” Nulick said. “We started talking. I went to a visit last December. When I went, I enjoyed it. College is paid for. It’s based out of Kings Point, New York. It will be cool to play in the snow.”
