I read an article that was presented by KQED, a public station in the Bay Area. They stated, scientists reported that California’s ground water is not sustainable.
Well, what do you know?
I have been in California for 65 years, and every measurement has been lower. Eighty feet when I moved to Madera. Now? Two-hundred thirty feet. I am not a scientist, but I know its going down.
Ok, San Francisco by the Bay. Duh? Sea water. Desalinate! No brainer. San Diego has, and has had more fresh water than they can use. The Central Valley keeps planting high density houses with no real plan about tomorrow’s water.
There’s trees and shrubs along every road, and in the middle! Ornamental too! No benefit. Just obstruction of viewing for safe driving. New round about on Avenue 17. Not only trees and scrubs, but a mound of dirt in the middle so you can’t see traffic on the opposite side! Wow! Engineers!
Give me a bunch of old farmers any day over “engineers” and “scientists.”
